Do you want your dentist experience to feel like a Korean spa with knowledgeable, gentle, and friendly staff? This is the place to go. They even reassured me about a problem another dentist wanted to charge me $14K to fix.

I have not had a great history with other dentists; some skeptical when I say anesthesia is not strong enough, others who attempted to steer me toward unnecessary procedures, and even ignoring my assertion that a crown was ill fitting.

Before starting treatment, Dr. Beck took the time to discuss my concerns and did an excellent job putting me at ease.

His staff are capable and kind, and I always have as pleasant a time as possible when getting dental work.

Dr. Beck is THE BEST! I cannot recommend him in strong enough terms.

Love these folks! I've gotten all kinds of work done here and was referred from Willamette Dental due to their lack of cosmetic accommodations. SWFD is great, folks here really know what they're doing and they want you to be just as happy with your experience as they would want for themselves. I've been to dentists all over the country as I move and no one beats the care here. Get your employer to switch insurance so you can come here too!

I had my first appointment at South Waterfront Dental a couple of days ago and I was very happy with my visit!

Chris and Tina did a great job with my X-rays, exam, and cleaning and made me feel comfortable and welcome. Dr. Beck was also very kind and outlined my options for treatment clearly.

I look forward to future appointments and cleanings at this office, which hasn’t always been my experience with other dentists in the past.

I moved to Portland recently and needed to find a new dental practice and pretty fast. I had a concern about some of my teeth and South Waterfront Dental was able to get me an appointment the next week! Dr. Beck is very welcoming and makes you feel super comfortable. He is also very knowledgeable. One of hygienist there (forgot to ask her name), she’s blonde, is the most friendly person ever. She made my experience fantastic and efficient! I will be recommending this practice to those looking for a new dentist in the Portland area for sure.

My family and I have been going to South Waterfront Dental for about 10 years and have always been very happy with the quality of the care we receive here. Even though we have now moved 20 miles away we still go here

Everyone was so friendly and made the experience so smooth. Great music was playing, people were having lively conversation, and there were even dogs to pet!

Went in for a post Pandemic cleaning. Kim did a great job. Though and professional. She was careful to explain everything she would be doing and had an engaging bubbly personality besides. A+ on COVID procedures too. Dr. Todd Beck was also very kind and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend South Waterfront Dental.

Dr. Beck and the entire staff at South Waterfront Dental are fantastic. I had the stereotypical bad experience of receiving less than optimal care from a different dentist for a few years before making the switch. I’ve been a regular patient for 7 years and gladly make the drive in from the suburbs to receive my care from South Waterfront.

I feel confident in the care I receive from all of the staff, and the practice is wonderfully managed. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for top notch dental care.

This is the best dental experience I've had in years. In this case the term "painless dentist" (or almost painless) really does apply. The staff is terrific. Very friendly, and also very skilled. I recommend Dr. Beck to everyone I know looking for a dentist in Portland.

Dr. Beck is an all time pro. I am never a fan of going to the dentist, but South Waterfront was excellent experience. Consultation was straightforward and professional, not overly jolly like many dentists I've had in the past. 100% recommend.

I move around a lot because of my job so I change dentists frequently. SWD is by far the best appointment I've had.

I have extremely sensitive teeth so I know I'm not the easiest patient. The team went to great lengths to ensure I was comfortable AND got the work done that I needed.

It can take a bit to get on their schedule but there is a reason for it and it is very much worth the wait.

Dr. Beck and his team couldn't be any better! I'm so happy to have found a professional and experienced team of dental care partners closer to home. They give great advice, always work to find times that work with my busy schedule, and are super nice people to boot.

I have only been there once but my experience was great. I wasn't his patient but they managed to get me in sooner than my current dentist (now the ex-) for my dental concern. When I went in, they were on time and I didn't have to wait. Dr Beck examined thoroughly and explained very well.

Had a great first visit, wonderful staff, and love the option for Saturday appointments.

I am accustomed to quality dental care and was pleased as a new resident to find this group and get the care I expect. The staff is efficient, friendly, and accommodating. I appreciate their thorough exam and cleaning along with clarity of explanations.

I can't give enough praise to Dr. Beck and his staff. Recently I had an infection. My face swelled up and I was hideously hideous. Not to mention the pain. Actual real pain, not the kind that a man feels when he wakes up to one of his eyebrows having been shaved off, but a throbbing (please remove my face from me) type of pain.
I walked into the office expecting screams of horror and disgust. I assumed children would scream, mothers would hit me with their purses. Men would call the dogcatcher. Well I'm not an animal.
In reality I was greeted with sympathy and compassion. I did not have an appointment, but they rushed me right in. It was a Friday. One of those gloomy, wet, and dark days that Oregonians are all too familiar with. The only thing darker than that mid afternoon day, was my attitude. Dr. Beck did all he could do for me, and informed me that he was leaving town for the weekend. Now here is where the story takes a surprising twist. He actually gave me his cell phone number and told me to call him immediately if I needed to. What kind of doctor does that? I dated a doctor once, and it was like pulling teeth to get her number. Get it, pulling teeth. Pun intended. Back to the story. Anyways, the antibiotics Dr. Beck prescribed worked incredibly. Yet he still called and texted multiple times throughout the weekend to check on me. What a standup guy.

I am a patient of Dr. Beck's and recently fractured my front tooth while on vacation in Bend, Oregon. I was really distraught that this had happened and frantically searched for a dental office in Bend that could see me for an emergency visit. However, it was on a Friday morning and no one could get me in for over a week. I called Dr. Beck's office, assuming that it would be at least a several day wait. To my surprise, they told me that if I would make the drive up, Dr. Beck would see me that same day. So I hopped in the car and drove straight to his office. He got me right in (and from what I'm guessing, worked through his lunch) to repair the missing half of my front tooth, so I was able to go back to Bend and enjoy the remainder of my vacation. I am so grateful for not only his kindness, but the help of every member of the staff during what was a traumatic time for me. I would definitely recommend this office!
